Ben Cabango aiming to keep focus after clean sheet
Swansea City defender Ben Cabango feels he is starting to rediscover his best form after helping his side keep a clean sheet and kick off 2024 with a 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion.
The 23-year-old Wales international had a spell on the sidelines following a hamstring injury and had to be patient for his opportunity to come back into the side.
He admits it has taken him a little bit of time to get back up to speed after the lay-off, but he has impressed over recent games.
And Cabango hopes there are more clean sheets to come after a battling performance.
“It’s been a hectic period over the last few weeks. It’s been tough with all the travelling, and we’ve had a few boys who have had sickness and been ill,” he said.
“But I feel I am getting there (in terms of my own form), I just need to make sure I keep focused and concentrate on making sure we keep more clean sheets.
“It was really important we got this result because there’s a gap between this and the next league game and you want to make sure we have some momentum.
“We were also buzzing to get the clean sheet because it had been a while, there were guys throwing their bodies on the line at the end to make sure we got it.
“We needed that, if you don’t concede goals in games then you give yourself the best possible chance of getting wins.
“We had to move the ball a bit quicker and get after them in this second half. We did that and we came out on top.”
