Ben Blythe makes Barry Town loan move
Swansea City defender Ben Blythe has joined Barry Town on loan for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
The 21-year-old links up with the newly-promoted Welsh top-flight side as he looks to gain experience at senior level.
Blythe joined the Swans on a two-year deal in the summer of 2022 and featured for the club’s under-21s last season.
The Leeds-born centre-back had previously spent four years in south Yorkshire with Doncaster Rovers.
In 2019-20, Blythe captained Rovers’ under-18s to their first league title since the formation of their academy, and went on to sign professional terms at the conclusion of that season.
He made his senior debut for Rovers as a half-time substitute on the final day of the 2020-21 League One season and made a further six appearances for the club during the 2021-22 season.
Everyone at Swansea City wishes Ben every success during his loan spell.
