Back down to business for Byers
George Byers has warned Swansea City they cannot afford to get distracted by their high-profile FA Cup draw as attentions turn to Saturday's Championship clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
The Swans head to Hillsborough on the back of their fifth-round success against Brentford in the famous knock-out competition.
That 4-1 victory - in which Byers scored a well-taken goal - has seen Graham Potter's men handed the daunting task of facing Premier League champions Manchester City in the quarter-finals next month.
But with four league games between now and the clash with Pep Guardiola's men, midfielder Byers knows the Swans cannot afford to take their eye off the ball if they want to avoid falling further off the pace in the Championship play-off chase.
"It's got to be a case of back down to business for us, it cannot be any other way," said the 22-year-old.
"We can't be worrying about the cup just yet, the next game is a league game and that's where all the focus has got to be this week.
"We cannot go getting too far ahead of ourselves, there are three points on the line and we need them.
"They have been in decent form so there's no doubt it will be a tough game."
