Swansea City are back on the road this weekend with a trip to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship. (3pm kick-off).

Here is a handy travel guide for all the Jacks making the journey to Lancashire.

TICKETS

Advance tickets will come off sale at 4.30pm on Thursday October 26.

Supporters who have not purchased tickets in advance will be able to buy on the day from the away end ticket office at Ewood Park.

This is located at the Darwen End of the stadium and will open at 1pm. Cash and card payments will be accepted and collections will be available from the same point.

Prices are as follows:

Adults – £25
Senior 65+ - £20
Ages 18-23 – £15
Under-18s – £10
Under-14s - £7

Ambulant and wheelchair tickets are charged at the relevant age category and a free of charge carer is applicable.

Please note that all under-14 and under-eight tickets must be bought alongside an adult, over 65, or under-23 ticket.

Advance prices exclude a postage fee of £1.25 online per order/delivery and £2.50 per ticket over the phone with the ticket office.

 

POSTAGE/ DELIVERY DETAILS

All tickets purchased before 5pm on Wednesday, October 25 have been posted out first class, with any tickets purchased after this point being available to collect on Thursday, October 26.

If your tickets have not arrived in the post by 10am on Friday, October 27, please let the ticket office know by emailing ticketing@swanseacity.com, including your customer number or booking reference, and the club will arrange duplicate tickets for you to collect at the host club.

SEAT ALLOCATION

The club were given an allocation of just over 1,000 tickets.

Away fans are housed in the Bryan Douglas Darwen End. It’s shared with home supporters and, depending on the number of tickets sold, can be split between the upper and lower tiers, with the lower tier generally being sold first.

The concourses are modern and include food kiosks which serve food and drink.

 

TRAVELLING BY CAR

Supporters travelling to Ewood Park by car can use the instructions provided by Blackburn below on making the journey from the south:

  • Leave the M6 at Junction 29 and join the M65 and head East to Blackburn.
  • Ewood Park is well signposted on the M65, leave at junction 4, join the A666 and head towards Blackburn.
  • Ewood Park is about a mile away on your right.

Some parking is available at the ground in Car Park F (Darwen End).

There are also numerous car parks near the ground where spaces can be purchased in advance.

Car parking around the ground is limited due to the nature of the built-up areas around Ewood Park and therefore it is advisable to book this in advance to avoid disappointment.

 

TRAVELLING BY TRAIN, BUS AND TRAM

Train

Blackburn station is approximately a mile and a half (20 to 30-minute walk) from Ewood Park and approximately one mile away from Mill Hill station (15-minute walk).

It is possible to travel from Swansea to either station with the journey taking between five-and-a-half and six-and-a-half hours and requiring a number of changes.

Bus

Ewood Park is served by the number one (Bolton - Darwen - Blackburn) and number 24 (Chorley - Blackburn) buses.

Buses arrive at the ground approximately every 10 minutes and Lancashire Bus operates an online journey planner which can be accessed here.

 

SUPPORTER COACHES

There are limited travel packages available, with return Turners Coach travel priced at £43 per person for this game.

Parking for supporters using the travel service is available onsite in the North car park at the Swansea.com Stadium.

NEARBY PUBS

There is a fan zone behind the away stand which is open to home and away fans. There are food outlets available here.

Further afield, the Golden Cup pub is located on Bolton Road, however this can get very busy and is a 20-minute (mostly uphill) walk to the ground.

If this doesn’t bother you, this pub also offers matchday parking for a fee so it can be popular with travelling fans.
