If you are making your way to Portman Road to cheer on the Swans against Ipswich on Easter Monday, here is a travel guide to make your journey that much easier.

SEAT ALLOCATION

Around 1,900 away fans are housed on one side of the upper tier in the Cobbold Stand. Here, you can enjoy good views of the pitch and a decent atmosphere, although leg room is generally tight.

PARKING

Along Portman Road there are three pay-and-display car parks, where it will cost £4 to leave your vehicle for four hours and you can enjoy a fairly quick getaway.

For the same price and length of time, you can use the large open pay-and-display on nearby West End Road.

Alternatively, there are a number of other car parks in the town centre and an NCP multi-storey next to the train station, where you can park for £2.70.

BY TRAIN

Served by trains from London Liverpool Street and Peterborough, Ipswich Railway Station is a quarter of a mile away from Portman Road.

The journey from Swansea takes around six-and-a-half hours on average.

Trains leave at 27 minutes past the hour between 5am and 8am, while the return journeys depart at 52 minutes past the hour between 5pm and 8pm as well as 5.09pm.
