Ash: Plenty to build on
29th November
Ashley Williams insists Swansea City have plenty to build on despite a narrow defeat against Liverpool.
James Milner's second-half penalty - after Neil Taylor was penalised for handball - was enough to see the home side take all three points in a tight encounter.
However, following a much-improved display from Garry Monk's side, captain Ashley Williams says the squad have much to be proud of.
"We played well and worked hard all game to try and keep a clean sheet, so to lose because of a penalty decision is painful," he said.
"We played well as a team, we were very good on the ball and created some good chances.
"We have been unlucky with the penalty decision, on another day you don't see them given, so we are disappointed and frustrated to lose that way.
"But looking at the game positively, we had a much better performance compared to our draw against Bournemouth last week.
"I felt it was more what we expect from ourselves, and the work rate and the desire on the pitch means we have something to build on ahead of next week."
