Ash: Let's bounce back
27th December
Captain Ashley Williams insists the Swans are determined to show their power of recovery from two consecutive defeats when they head to Aston Villa on Saturday (3pm).
The Swans went down to Everton at the Liberty before losing at Chelsea either side of Christmas.
And they now head to Villa Park to take on Paul Lambert's side, who are still smarting from a home loss to Crystal Palace on Boxing Day - their fourth consecutive defeat.
The Swans sit in 11th place - one point and two positions above Villa ahead of their showdown.
And Williams revealed the squad are hoping to widen the gap between the Swans and the clubs below them in the table.
"We have lost the last two, so it's going to be a massive game for both teams. It's very important - every game is in this league," said the Swans and Wales captain.
"They (Villa) lost to Palace at home on Boxing Day, and they will be desperate to make up for that particularly as they are at home again.
"There is no concern for us with the defeats and the gap between the teams below us in the table.
"Our aim is to put some distance and the teams below us. We don't want to get caught up in that because there aren't any teams that are really falling away - it's very close.
"Villa Park is a very tough place to play but we know we are capable of winning there and bouncing back from these back-to-back defeats."
