Arthur Parker eager to push on after senior matchday squad involvement

Swansea City Under-21s' defender Arthur Parker is relishing the opportunity to step up to the senior squad as he was named on the bench for their Championship fixture against Burnley.
The former Fulham youth player, who spent nine years on the books with the Cottagers, put pen to paper for his professional contract last summer and extended his stay in SA1 until June 2026.
The 18-year-old joined Swansea City in the summer of 2022, following a successful trial period, and linked up with the under-18s.
The week following his involvement in the first-team squad was topped off by captaining Swansea City Under-21s to a dominant 3-1 victory against Watford in West London.
And Parker is now determined to be handed more opportunities at senior level, and hopes he can build on the experience.
"Overall, it's been a great week for me. Saturday was a great experience, being involved in a senior matchday was a great learning moment for me, said Parker.
"I'm also so proud of the boys for their performance against Watford, it was a really young side with first and second-year scholars, and they dug deep and we got the result we deserved.
"It was my second time being captain at under-21s level, and that makes it more special.
"Last year, there was an alignment programme within the academy, and myself and Callum Deacon ahd to experience of being around the first team on a senior matchday to experience and learn.
"During that time, we were helping fold kit and clean boots, and fast forward a year, I'm on the bench! It's crazy to think about that, I just want to keep pushing and get more opportunities."
