Calling all Junior Jacks season ticket holders! It’s time to take over a Swansea City matchday!
We’re offering season ticket holders between the ages of 7 and 12 to go behind the scenes and take on some key matchday roles at our home game against Hull City on Friday April 18 (3pm kick-off). *
Each Junior Jack role is different, with lots of different personalities and interests needed to help us deliver an excellent matchday.
The roles also have an allocated timeslot(s) so please only apply for roles if you are available at the times and dates mentioned in the description.
Please note, all Junior Jacks must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
MATCHDAY ROLES AND DESCRIPTIONS
Parking Steward
Someone needs to help the players park their cars as they arrive on matchday … and that person could be you!
Join our operations team as we welcome the players to ground.
Time: 9.30am-11.30am
Groundstaff
Our grounds team work really hard to get the pitch ready for matchday. Join them as they paint the lines, check the goals and get everything ready for the match.
Time: 9.30am-11am
Ticket Office
Our ticket office are in charge of selling tickets on matchday. Join us at the turnstiles to help scan in the first fans. We'll also need your help to sell tickets to supporters on the day and count up the attendance.
Time: 1pm - kick-off
First team player
A key matchday role is first team player!
You can check out the changing room before the players arrive and watch warm up from the dugout.
Time: 10.30am-11am and 1.45pm-2.45pm
First team coach
As a coach, you have plenty of tasks to perform. You’ll need to draft you matchday welcome for supporters in the matchday programme. Then you can help the coaching team get ready for warm up.
Time: 1.30pm – 2.45pm
PA Announcer
We need a pre-match and half-time matchday announcer to join Kev Johns pitchside on matchday.
You’ll be asked to take over the microphone in order to welcome fans to the stadium and read out the team news.
At half time, you’ll greet the day’s matchday mascots!
This will involve speaking on the microphone in the stadium and appearing on the stadium’s big screen. Please only apply if you are comfortable in the role.
Time: 2pm – 3pm AND half-time.
TV Commentator
Have you always wanted to be a TV commentator? Do you believe you’re the next Sam Matterface, Peter Drury or Pien Meulensteen?
We’ll give you a crash course in TV commentary with Swans TV commentator Anthony O’Connell before you commentate live on the game.
This will be recorded so please only apply if you’re comfortable on camera.
Times: 1.30pm – full time.
Junior Journalist
Conduct a pre-match interview with one of the Swans players, and write up a match report alongside out club media team.
The pre-match interview will be filmed, so please only apply if you’re comfortable on camera.
Time: 10.30am 11.30am AND 1.30pm - full time.
Junior Photographer
The junior photographer is tasked with capturing all the Junior Takeover Day elements of matchday.
Join one of our official club photographers to walk around the stadium and take photos of the matchday.
Time: 12pm – 2.45pm
Kit Manager
We need a junior kit manager to help our kit team prepare for the game. The kit managers are the life and soul of the changing room, so our Junior Jacks will need to be ready with a joke as well as have a keen eye for detail.
Please note, you will need to be available on both Thursday – to set up the changing room - and Friday to help the team prepare for the match.
Time: Thursday 2.30pm-5pm AND matchday 1.30pm-2.45pm
Mascot Coordinator
Help our mascot coordinator deliver a brilliant day for our matchday mascots. Start off by meeting them in hospitality, before taking them through the full mascot package.
Time 12pm – kick-off
Matchday Lounge Host
Help our lounge host Kev Johns entertain our hospitality guests ahead of the match.
Deliver the team news (and team sheets), and help entertain the fans by bringing magic to the hospitality experience.
Time: 12pm – 2.30pm
Floor Camera Operator
We’re handing over control of the big screen camera to one junior supporter.
Pick out your friends, family and other fans from the crowd as you take on the role of fan cam operator, and make sure you keep our matchday presentation team in shot as they welcome the fans and deliver the team news.
Time: 2pm-3pm AND half time.
Applications are now open and will close at 5pm on March 24 2025. Supporters will find out if they are successful by 5pm March 31, 2025.
