Anthony Wright delighted with "terrific" performance from under-21s
Coach Anthony Wright praised Swansea City Under-21s' "terrific" showing at Vicarage Road as they returned to winning ways in the Professional Development League with a 5-0 victory against Watford.
Maliq Cadogan and Glory Nzingo produced a fine finish apiece in the opening half to send the Swans into the break two goals to the good.
Cadogan would go on to add two further goals and complete his hat-trick on the hour mark, with Irishman Nzingo then rounding off the scoring in stoppage time.
And Wright was pleased with the way the squad controlled the game on and off the ball, following a string of tough results.
"I thought the boys were terrific, in and out of possession, on the press, they were great on all fronts," said Wright.
"Full credit to the players, they dominated from start to finish and our decision making was excellent and of a very high level.
"Over the past few weeks we've been a bit younger in terms of players than what we have been. The boys, especially the younger ones, are growing in stature and confidence.
"Throughout the game, that confidence was there. We know we haven't been getting the results away from home over the last couple of months, so this will be a confidence-booster.
"I thought Maliq got his reward for all of his hard work, the goals the team created were brilliant, and a real team efforts."
