Andre Ayew | Let's hit the ground running
Andre Ayew wants Swansea City to pick up where they left off and hit the ground running when Championship action resumes after the international break.
The Swans picked up seven points from a possible nine before the final international window of 2019 to keep themselves firmly in the upper reaches of the table.
They return to action with a run of three games in six days as home games against Millwall and Fulham come either side of a trip to face Huddersfield.
With no further breaks until the end of March, Saturday’s game against the Lions kicks off a key period of the season.
And Ayew – the Swans joint-topscorer with six goals to his name – is determined to start it in the right fashion.
“It’s very hectic in the Championship. You need to be ready for it – physically and mentally – and must always be willing to do more and more,” he said.
“We are ready for that. We will prepare properly. We’ve had good results in our last three games so we must make sure we hit the ground running again.
“We want to try to get a good win at home against Millwall. It’s going to be a hard game but, with the quality we have, I’m confident we can get a result.
“Of course, it’s very important that we take one game at a time, but we must aim to get a couple of good results as that will set us up nicely.”
