Andre Ayew | It's time to make things happen
Andre Ayew says it is coming to be crunch time for Swansea City as they prepare to face Championship leaders West Brom on Saturday.
The Swans are four points off the play-off places with just 10 games remaining in the season, but frustrated they are not closer after suffering late disappointment against Fulham and Blackburn.
They now host the Baggies, who are sitting pretty at the top of the pile as they target a return to the Premier League, with Ayew facing a race to be fit for the Liberty Stadium clash.
While the clock is ticking down, the Swans’ fate is very much in their own hands with a number of their remaining games coming against sides also in the promotion picture.
Ayew is fighting to be fit for the clash with the Baggies after taking a painful blow to the foot at Blackburn but, regardless of whether he is available or not, he knows just how vital a run of results could prove during this final sequence of a gruelling campaign.
“We’re into the last 10 games. Now is the time to make things happen. It’s important that we finish games with points in the bag,” said the Ghana international.
“We need a positive result against West Brom. We really need the fans because it will be a hard game for everyone.
“We have the quality and players to deliver and make people happy.”
