Alan Sheehan welcomes Swansea City coaching additions

Alan Sheehan has promised to leave no stone unturned in order to ensure Swansea City finish the season positively, and has backed Mark Fotheringham and Richard Stearman to bring a renewed hunger and energy to the coaching set-up ahead of the final run-in.
Sheehan was confirmed as caretaker head coach until the end of the season earlier this week, having been in interim charge since Luke Williams’ departure in February.
Fotheringham, who previously managed Huddersfield Town in the Championship, and former Premier League defender Stearman have also been added to the coaching staff for the final eight games; joining Martyn Margetson and Kris O’Leary.
“I am really happy to have this opportunity,” said Sheehan.
“I have said since day one, it’s an absolute privilege to lead this club. I will leave no stone unturned to try and improve this football club.
“I am incredibly pleased with bringing in Richard and Mark. I need people around me who are incredibly hungry and share my work ethic.
"Mark has got so much experience. He's renowned as one of the best coaches in Germany and has worked with German legends like Michael Henke, Tomas Oral, Felix Magath and Jurgen Klinsmann.
"To have that pedigree and opportunity in management, as well. He knows a lot about these leagues and I've known him for a long time now. So that's wonderful.
"Richard's someone I've done my 'A' and 'B' licences with. I've known him a long time. He's someone I trust.
"He is someone who's been promoted out of this league twice. So he knows the exact feelings everyone's going through as well as the detail that's required.
"To have them two guys with me here, with Kris and Marge, who have that extra added experience I think it's a wonderful opportunity for us to move forward."
“I am incredibly happy with the desire they showed to come here, and I am grateful to the club for bringing the guys in.
“We have eight games left, I am happy to have the opportunity to manage this football club for those eight games, to keep the club in the league and then we can reassess at the end of the season.”
