Alan Sheehan wants Swansea City to continue to show attacking intent when they face Preston North End at Deepdale on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

The Swans head to Lancashire looking to pick up more valuable points having beaten Blackburn Rovers 3-0 in their last Championship fixture.

They face a Preston side who are unbeaten at home since November 2, and who are fresh from booking an FA Cup quarter-final assignment against Aston Villa thanks to a 3-0 victory over local rivals Burnley.

Caretaker head coach Sheehan expects the trip to Deepdale to be a very different test for the Swans, but he wants them to continue to look to be position with and without the ball.

"We want to be a team that gets our fans excited," he said.

"You can generate that excitement by winning, and we certainly want to be a winning team, and sometimes that can mean things look a little different.

"Ultimately we want to play in a way that matches the blueprint of modern football, which is fast, attacking football.

"It's not easy to do, particularly against different types of blocks, or when you come up against different systems and formations etc.

"There are different ways to attack, and we felt the way we played last time was the best way to attack Blackburn.

"This is a different test that will pose us different questions, but we still want to see that energy and positivity."
