Caretaker head coach Alan Sheehan says the challenge for Swansea City is to make sure they produce the levels they showed in victory over Blackburn Rovers on a regular basis.

The Swans claimed a 3-0 win over play-off chasing Rovers in the first game with Sheehan at the helm following the departure of Luke Williams.

Sheehan had called for a reaction following a disappointing run of results, and he acknowledged the players had delivered one.

But he is keen to ensure that showing is not a one-off, as the Swans prepare to head to Deepdale.

“It is hugely important that we back up our last result and performance,” said Sheehan.

“Before we can talk about style of play or anything else, we need to build resilience, character and confidence.

“Those are the foundations you have to rely on when things are now going well.

“We had that against Blackburn, we did all the basics well and of course we all have to enjoy that moment of getting a win.

“But then you have to draw a line in the sand, and then look to go and win the next one because we have shown we are capable of being a good team. “
