Alan Sheehan | It's important we stay focused on the task at hand
Alan Sheehan has urged Swansea City to keep their focus as they prepare to take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Wednesday night (7.45pm).
The Swans have taken seven points from three games since Sheehan became caretaker head coach, and they have not conceded a goal in that time.
There have been home wins over play-off hopefuls Blackburn and Middlesbrough, either side of a gritty draw at Preston.
They now travel to face the Hornets before hosting Burnley in their final fixture before the international break.
But Sheehan wants the Swans squad to keep their feet on the ground as they prepare to complete a period of four games in 10 days.
“I was really satisfied with Saturday against Middlesbrough, there were a lot of aspects of the game to be incredibly pleased about,” said the Irishman.
“But everything we do now, in terms of debriefing the game and recovering and preparing has to be focused on Watford.
“We cannot have one eye on the weekend or looking too far ahead, we need to go to Watford and try to put on another positive display.
“We take every game as it comes, this is another challenge and if you look too far ahead you can get blinded to the task at hand sometimes.
“I think we can be pleased to have found a positive way to navigate our way through the last few games.
“We have to be positive and appreciate the work everyone has been doing at the football club. It’s been a good three games but we want to carry it on.”
