Aimee Deacon | Our confidence is growing all the time
Swansea City Women’s forward Aimee Deacon felt her goals in the pre-season win over Limerick were a great confidence booster ahead of the upcoming Genero Adran Premier campaign
The Swans claimed their second win in the space of three days with a 10-1 win over the Irish visitors, having beaten Bristol City Under-21s on Wednesday.
Deacon netted a brace, and also provided two assists along the way, and feels her confidence, and that of the team, is growing all the time.
“I think pre-season has gone really well so far,” said Deacon.
“We’ve obviously been trying some new things, with a new team, it’s going to be challenging in different ways.
“I think we played really well in our last two games and I’m happy to come away with two goals, it’s obviously great for my confidence and for the team.
“I think I’ve found myself growing into the team quite well, everyone has been welcoming and supportive of me.
“Everyone seems to be understanding each other better and we are starting to click more.
“Growing the confidence going into the new season is important, to get the goals and to get two wins in the space of the week is a big step for that.”
