Swansea City Academy and Swansea City AFC Foundation supported the 'Everyone Deserves a Christmas' campaign, helping to pack and deliver over 1,000 Christmas hampers for those most in need in our local community.

Now in its seventh year, the south Wales-wide campaign aims to provide Christmas essentials for families in need over the festive season.

Swans academy stars Mitchell Bates, Ben Hughes, Dan Watts, and Sebastian Dabrowski, alongside volunteers from across the local area, helped to pack 1,500 hampers, that were then hand delivered by Foundation staff and other associated organisations across the community.

Hampers provide recipients with fresh food for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as well as gifts including selection boxes and treats, and other festive essentials.

"As a charitable organisation, we're really pleased to have been involved with this campaign again this year," said Tom Williams, head of programmes at Swansea City AFC Foundation.

"It's a real team effort with people from a number of organisations coming together which is great to be a part of.

"To have some of the academy players volunteer their time on Sunday also shows how much everyone wants to help their community, especially at a time like Christmas."
