Kian Jenkins v TNS

Swansea City Under-21s suffered defeat despite taking the lead in their Professional Development League clash at Millwall.

Glory Nzingo had given the Swans the lead at the interval.

However, second-half goals from Henry Hearn (2), Nana Boateng and Sha'mar Lawson gave the Lions all three points.

The game started at a rapid tempo as Hearn attempted an overhead kick which he sent straight into the hands of Remy Mitchell, before George Evans kept out an pair of efforts from Maliq Cadogan down the other end.

Swansea then sent Cameron Congreve into space, only for the attacking midfielder to flash his effort wide of the far post.

Moments later, the woodwork prevented Ra'ees Bangura-Williams from breaking the deadlock for Millwall as his strike smashed off the crossbar.

Instead it was the Swans who would open the scoring as Nzingo finished calmly from inside the area.

Congreve then had the chance to make it 2-0, but his low strike was denied by a good stop from Lions keeper Evans, although the Swans still retained the lead at the break.

However, Nzingo's opener was cancelled out after the restart when Boateng's cross into the six-yard box allowed Hearn to tap home the equaliser.

Provider Boateng soon had a goal of his own as the contest entered its final quarter; the forward capitalised on a defensive mistake to slide the ball into an empty net.

The afternoon got worse for the visitors when Lawson's unstoppable strike from 25 yards out found the top corner.

And Kevin Nugent's side would seal the win when Hearn grabbed his second of the afternoon from close range.
