Parkinson's Walking Football

Parkinson's Walking Football

People with neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s often have limited opportunity to exercise due to the symptoms of their conditions, and often feel unable to join mainstream exercise programmes due to physical inability or fear of not fitting in.

Swansea City AFC Foundation's Parkinson's Walking Football sessions are open to those with Parkinson's disease and those supporting people living with Parkinson's, and will cater to individual needs.

These sessions will allow participants to not only take part at their own pace, but also allow for a support group element, where participants can discuss shared experiences and socialise with peers.

Parkinson's UK are supporting the Foundation to run this programme, which will be delivered by Swans Foundation health and wellbeing coaches.
