Safeguarding Commitment
Swansea City Association Football Club Limited (the “Club”) is committed to safeguarding children and adults at risk.
The safety and welfare of children and adults at risk under the care of the club is paramount. All participants and visitors to club activities have a right to feel safe and be safe. All members of staff have a duty to keep children and adults at risk safe and help protect them from abuse or harm.
All children and adults at risk that engage with the club, regardless of age, culture, social background, disability, gender, language, racial origin, religious belief and/or sexual identity have the right to feel safe and protected from abuse, exploitation and poor practice.
All suspicions, reports and/or allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly which may involve the appropriate local authority teams where necessary.
The Club acknowledges its duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk, and is committed to ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory requirements and responsibilities, government guidance, recognised best practice and complies with Premier League / EFL rules.
The Club expects all staff, players, volunteers, contractors and guests to share this commitment. The Club commits to employing a trained club-wide Head of Safeguarding and designated safeguarding officers who implement, maintain and monitor best practice across the club.

Contact Us
Everyone has a duty to safeguard the welfare of children and adults at risk.
The Club has a number of people trained and ready to deal with matters of abuse, harassment or bullying involving vulnerable individuals.
If you have a concern about your own safety or the safety or welfare of a child or vulnerable adult in any aspect of their lives and they are involved in a Club activity you can speak to the following people:
- The person in charge of the activity who will refer on to a Safeguarding Officer
- Send a confidential email to safeguarding@swanseacity.com
- An appointed Safeguarding Officer below:

The NSPCC: The NSPCC work to prevent abuse, help rebuild children’s lives and support families. If you would like support or tips to help keep your children safe then visit their website. You can find information about helping your children at home and when they are away from home, children’s mental health, online safety, how to report abuse and neglect, along with a range of other issues. The NSPCC also run Childline and the CPSU which you can find out more about below.
Childline: When you call Childline on 0800 1111 you’ll get through to a counsellor, they’re there to listen and support you with anything you’d like to talk about. Or you can have a 1-2-1 counsellor chat online.
The Child Protection in Sport Unit: The Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) is part of the NSPCC and is funded by Sport England, Sport Northern Ireland, Sport Wales and UK Sport. Their aim is to help improve safeguarding and child protection practices within sport organisations, to ensure all children and young people are safe while participating in sport.
