Swans academy snap up Reid
Jayden Reid is the latest youngster to join Swansea City's academy ahead of the new season.
The 16-year-old midfielder joins from Manchester United on a two-year scholarship.
The first-year scholar is the younger brother of under-23s defender, Tyler Reid, who also joined the Swans from United last summer.
“It’s a great club with fantastic facilities and I am looking forward to starting the season,” Reid said.
“Being at Manchester United was an amazing experience and helped me develop as a player, but now I have a new challenge ahead.
“Tyler has told me a lot of positive things about the club. He has been through the process of under-18s football and learnt a lot with Swansea last season, so there is lots for me to learn in the next two years.
“It would be a dream to play alongside my brother. He has told me to get my head down and work hard.”
Reid, who can play either as a winger or attacking midfielder will link up with the under-18s squad as they prepare for the start of the 2017/18 campaign in Premier League South.
