Swans midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng is set to miss the start of the new Premier League season with a knee injury.
Ki has undergone a minor operation in his native South Korea after sustaining the injury in their Asian World Cup qualifier against Qatar.
He will remain in South Korea to continue his rehabilitation, before returning to Swansea after Paul Clement’s squad return from their pre-season tour to America.
The club's medical team have been out to South Korea to assess him following the operation.
Although no date has been set yet for his return to action, the injury is not expected to keep him out long-term.
