James makes loan switch to Shrews
Swansea City winger Daniel James has joined Shrewsbury Town on a season-long loan.
The 19-year-old will team up with the League One side in time for their pre-season tour to Portugal from Sunday.
James, who signed for the Swans in August 2014 from Hull City’s academy, had an impressive campaign for the club’s under-23s last season as they claimed the PL2 (Division 2) league and cup double .
With nine goals from 31 appearances, the Wales Under-21 international was also called into the senior national side by Chris Coleman in June 2017 where he was an unused substitute against Serbia in their recent World Cup qualifier.
Included in the loan deal is an option for James to be recalled in January if requested.
Swansea City wish Daniel good luck at Shrewsbury for the forthcoming campaign.
